C-PACE for Architects and Engineers is a free MGB Academy course on how commercial clients in Missouri finance the efficiency measures a design specifies. The course is offered by Missouri Green Banc, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit green bank in Chesterfield, Missouri, that administers the Missouri Clean Energy District, the statutory C-PACE authority under § 67.2800 RSMo. Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy financing, or C-PACE, funds improvements through a long-term assessment on the property, which keeps specified measures in scope when budgets tighten. The course explains how NPCA — National PACE Capital Access — surfaces best-fit capital providers and contractors to owners, how project scope translates into fundable elements, and how the economic benefit standard and engineer certification work. Missouri C-PACE assessments run up to 20 years, not exceeding the weighted average useful life of the improvements. Design professionals complete the course at their own pace and receive an MGB Academy course completion certificate. The course is free, and there is no cost to the owner to use NPCA.
