Missouri Green Banc, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit green bank based in Chesterfield, Missouri, offers C-PACE for Property Owners, a free online course through MGB Academy. The course teaches commercial property owners in Missouri how to describe a project once, in the terms capital providers already screen for, and let NPCA — National PACE Capital Access — surface best-fit capital providers and contractors. Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy financing, known as C-PACE, funds energy efficiency, renewable energy, and building improvements through a long-term assessment on the property rather than an upfront capital draw. Missouri Green Banc administers the Missouri Clean Energy District, the statutory C-PACE authority under § 67.2800 RSMo, which serves more than 300 member communities covering roughly 62% of Missouri’s population. The course runs about 32 minutes across six modules, is self-paced, and ends with an MGB Academy course completion certificate. Owners select their capital provider and their contractor independently. There is no fee to take the course and no fee to participate in NPCA.
