C-PACE for Nonprofit Organizations is a free MGB Academy course for Missouri nonprofits that own commercial property. It is offered by Missouri Green Banc, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit green bank in Chesterfield, Missouri, that administers the Missouri Clean Energy District, the statutory C-PACE authority under § 67.2800 RSMo. Nonprofit buildings carry real energy costs while capital budgets rarely stretch to major improvements. Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy financing funds efficiency upgrades through a long-term assessment on the property rather than an upfront capital draw, with repayment running with the property rather than as organizational debt. The course explains how NPCA — National PACE Capital Access — surfaces best-fit capital providers and contractors to an owner, and how project elements map to both tracks. The organization must own the property to enter an assessment contract, and the property must sit in an MCED member community. The course is self-paced and free, and ends with an MGB Academy course completion certificate.
