MCED’s 300+ member communities cover about 62% of Missouri’s population. Within them sit an estimated 107,500 commercial buildings and 1.48 billion square feet of floorspace. Forty percent of that floorspace was built before 1980, and half has seen no renovation since 2000. Buildings over 25,000 square feet are just 10% of the count but hold 58% of the floorspace, about 851 million square feet available to C-PACE financing today.
