C-PACE is live only in member communities, and a property outside one cannot use it no matter how well it qualifies on every other count. This guide gives the four-step check, a do-not-say/say-instead table for the period while confirmation is pending, and the rule behind all of it: a retracted promise costs you the owner’s trust on everything else you told them. If the community has not joined, it treats that as a lead rather than a loss, with three things to do about it. Includes a record-what-you-checked block.
